Thibodaux High’s dynamic Library is filled with both print and non-print resources for students, teachers, and staff to enjoy. Fiction books, non-fiction, reference, biographies, Louisiana books, online databases, and eBooks are all available for use through the THS Library. The computer lab is also available for student use before school and at recess along with printing and copying which costs $0.10 per page. Students check out a “Tiger Paw” at the circulation desk in order to use a computer. Library books are checked out for a two week period of time and Library fines accrue at $0.10 per day until the book is returned. Research projects and recreational reading may bring the students into the Library initially, but the colorful, teen- friendly environment with comfortable reading areas will draw them back again.
The Library is also the place to go for textbooks and ID’s. A student’s first ID is given free of charge but replacement ID’s cost $2.00 for the first replacement and $5.00 for each replacement thereafter. Students are allowed to get a temporary ID on those days when they forget their ID at home. Lastly, the StarBooks Café is housed in the Library. Students can purchase juice, coffee, yogurt, breakfast bars and/or muffins before school and at recess. So visit our THS Library for an intellectually stimulating environment filled with books, magazines, technology, snacks and friends!
You can search the Thibodaux High School library for your favorite books, videos, online databases, and the public libraries. This site also has information on standardized testing help, college information, financial aid, and careers.
